Recently, in neighborhoods throughout Metro Detroit, individuals dressed in deceiving uniforms have been knocking on doors claiming to be from undisclosed “home security companies” and offering to replace your alarm panel “at no charge”. These individuals have been seen in Roseville, St. Clair Shores, and Oak Park, and frequently target many other areas.

Please know that these are impostors and they ARE NOT with Guardian Alarm or any other reputable alarm company. When asked to identify themselves, they are often evasive and will not provide ID. Do not let them into your home. Do not let them see your alarm panel. You may even report their activities to the proper authorities.

The safety and security of your home and family are our top priority. That is why every employee, whether a sales consultant or a service technician, wears a company photo ID, which they are happy to present to you at any time. If we do go to your home, we always follow State of Michigan regulations and the guidance of the CDC. Every Guardian Alarm employee is equipped with Personal Protective Equipment and strictly adheres to all social distancing and COVID-19 prevention policies.

In fact, we’ve recently implemented the following procedures to keep you and our team as safe as possible.

  • We have implemented policies and procedures aligned with guidelines from the CDC, WHO, state, and county authorities to prevent our employees from being exposed to and spreading the COVID-19 virus. Our staff is equipped with various PPE, such as masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, antibacterial cleaning materials, and shoe coverings, ensuring the safety of both employees and customers.
  • To further safeguard everyone, our employees conduct daily personal wellness checks before starting their workday. If any individual displays symptoms of illness, has traveled internationally, or has been in contact with a confirmed case, they are instructed to stay home. Our field staff takes additional precautions by conducting pre-screening health questionnaires before visiting customers’ locations and adhering to social distancing measures.
  • In response to the pandemic, we have successfully implemented work-from-home solutions and modified our facilities to facilitate social distancing. We also provide ample supplies of PPE and maintain rigorous sanitization practices to create a secure environment for our employees and customers alike.
