Michigan-based company ignites expansion in services and community engagement efforts
SOUTHFIELD, MI – December 2018 – Guardian Alarm, one of the nation’s largest independently-owned security companies, recently named Peter J. Stouffer vice president of acquisitions. The Michigan-based company’s expansion efforts encompass security services, monitoring, fire, life-safety, medical monitoring, access control, and video monitoring services.
Headquartered in Southfield, Mich., Guardian Alarm has deep roots in the state and has been protecting families and businesses since 1930. Guardian Alarm is actively involved and regularly partners with a variety of individual local organizations, particularly in areas where they serve their approximately 100,000 customers for home and business security services or medical response needs. They partner with a variety of local organizations, including: Project Green Light with the City of Detroit Police Department, Building Detroit, Southfield Downtown Development Authority, and 8 Mile Boulevard Association to name a few.

Stouffer brings more than three decades of sales and manufacturing leadership with organizations throughout Michigan. The Kettering University alum is active in the community serving as a member of the Vistage Executive Coaching and Leadership Development Group and serving as a STEM volunteer to promote science and engineering education, including First Robotics coaching.
